We were asked what our ‘Unique Selling Point’ (or USP) is – the thing that means people choose to book with us over our competitors. We settled on our outstanding award-winning customer service.
Having just spent the last couple of days on a marketing training (don’t worry - it was on a boat in the Med, and it was genuinely fun!), we’ve been thinking about what makes us special in the crowded marketplace of online yacht charter.
We were asked what our ‘Unique Selling Point’ (or USP) is – the thing that means people choose to book with us over our competitors.
We could’ve mentioned our clear, easy-to--use website, which allows users to search yachts and catamarans in real-time, and has the most comprehensive filtering tool on the market (which is still set for an upgrade in 2018, by the way!)
We could’ve selected the fact that our yachts and cats have real-time availability and pricing, so you can literally find and book an available boat in a matter of clicks – you don’t need to wait for a quote, you can just book. We were the first to offer this service, and we’re still the best!
Or our competitive prices?
Maybe it’s that we work with partners who we know and trust, so you can be sure that the yachts listed on here are all in great condition, and that you won’t be getting fleeced at the end of the week (bad yacht charter companies are out there, people!)
We thought about our industry-leading 30% deposit scheme, our support for RYA and other sailing community groups, our sponsorship of a University sailing club, or even our involvement in the Great Ocean Clean Up, our ‘bag a beer’ beach cleaning initiative, and other environmental projects, but whilst they make us special, they aren’t the essence of what we do.
So, what is our USP? We settled on our outstanding award-winning customer service. Our team go above and beyond to make sure that you’re well informed, know everything you need to know, and have everything set up for a brilliant yacht or catamaran charter holiday. We like to go the extra mile to look after and impress you. In short, we make sure we have super-happy customers.
