In the dark ages of yesteryear, arranging a yacht charter was tedious: you had to fill in an online form or send an email to request a quote from a yacht charter agency, and then they’d take two days to get back to you and to recommend two yachts (usually one of which was way out of your price range, and one which pre-dated your own birthdate), and then they’d take another few days to recommend another one with too many/few cabins, etc….  and so on and so on.  And that was just to try and find a yacht!

From there, they’d have to check the availability, sort out all the paperwork (by fax!), scrape together a couple of online bank transfers (or, if you’re old enough to remember, a cheque), and then fingers crossed it was all properly booked and the boat wasn’t some sort of wreck when you arrived.

But not today.  Or not at PlainSailing.com, at least.  We’ve got cutting edge technology which means that you can find the best possible prices and availability for yachts or catamarans LIVE.  Like, right now.  You don’t need to ask for a quote, or to email us to suggest a few dates – you just need to use our search feature (on the left hand side of our desktop homepage).

Once you’re selected a location and dates (usually Saturday to Saturday for the Med in peak season), you can filter the search results to show only boats with the right number of cabins for you, or boats with air conditioning, or boats with bow thrusters – so it’s really easy to find your perfect yacht.  

You can then take a closer look at it (we have photos of the actual yacht wherever possible), and then it’s just case of simply clicking through to pay just a 30% deposit to secure your yacht or catamaran.(We book an option on the boat at this stage, and one of our team will phone you just to double-check that the boat you’ve booked is the best one for you before we make the final confirmation and process the cash).
