Sailing season is HERE!
Monday, 3rd April 2017Finally. Enough with the waiting, and the cold weather and foul winds – the summer sailing season is HERE! Let’s get out there and enjoy it!
In the Mediterranean, the sailing season runs from the start of April to the end of September, giving six solid months of sunshine, cloudless skies, fair winds, and the gentle lapping of the sea against the side of the boat.
Out trusted partners in Croatia and Greece have been telling us how their preparations are going for the last few months (and believe me: they have been busy!) , but they know that they’re about to get a whole heap busier.
During peak season in Croatia and Greece, they estimate that over 20,000 yachts are turned-around each weekend to be ready for a whole ‘nother set of holidaymakers! That’s a lot of boats, and a lot of people - and a massive amount of time, resources and effort is required!
But there’s nothing quite like a busy weekend in the sailing season, and our team are seriously looking forwards to getting out there again for 2017: the marina is a hive of activity (usually despite the brilliant sunshine), the boats all look spanking, and our customers arrive with such excitement and leave with such smiles on their faces.
We’re so glad that the sailing season is finally here, and it’s time to get back out to the marina’s again!
