This Sun Odyssey 44i is a great cruising ship. Being generously sized, there are excellent communal areas both above and below deck. She accommodates eight persons in the four double-cabins.
As well as an additional end cleaning fee per charter, there are local Great Barrier Reef enviro-taxes which are charged on a per-person basis which must also be paid at check-in.
Check-in is slightly different in Australia - you MUST attend a formal training and briefing session at 9am on the start day of your charter to learn more about sailing within the protected marine zone and to familiarise yourself with local rules and regulations, as well as your boat. You can normally sail away later in the afternoon. You need to return the boat to base on Friday evening and disembark by 10am on day of check-out.
