Bavaria 38 2003

This Bavaria 38 'Dotty Dot' was purchased new by us in May 2003 and actually measures 40’8” overall. She has been Maritime Coastguard Agency/Department of Transport coded for commercial use. This involves approximately 80 safety modifications being installed, many of which will not be included on a standard yacht.

She has four cabins including the saloon with 4 double berths in total and is available for bareboat or skippered charter. The Department of Transport certification is for 8 people at Category 2 level. A D.O.T. Cat 2 certificate allows for a passage up to 60 nautical miles from the nearest coast by day or night. We can honestly say that this boat handles beautifully and can be powered up or down very easily, depending on whether or not you want to take a leisurely cruise or sail her hard. She is very responsive for a boat of her size and a real pleasure to sail.
