Vote NOW for Uni Sailing Club Sponsorship!

Voting opens at midday for our University Sailing Club Sponsorship 2018 – and your vote could make a difference!

We’re so proud to be part of the wider sailing community in the UK, from being members of committees on the British Marine Federation (where we’re helping to plot the future of sailing!), to working with the RYA (Catch us at their North-west conference this weekend, if you’re in the area!), amongst a myriad of things, from local to National.

PlainSailing.com University Sailing Club Sponsorship 2018!

In 2018, we’re also taking another giant leap forward, and giving practical and financial support to help get more people out having fun on the water – with the sponsorship of a University Sailing Club!

We’ve now reached the final stage of the selection process – the final decision will be 50% based on a public vote, and 50% based on our expert selection panel, comprising ex-University sailors, a sailing explorer, and PlainSailing.com directors - and we’ve shortlisted ten brilliant University sailing clubs who are vying for your support.  The quality of the applicants was so strong that we have literally had to double our shortlist from five to ten!

So how can you get involved?

We’ve got profiles of all of the Sailing Clubs, and we’d love you to help us to pick who we support – please take some time to review the entries and then placing your vote.  Either go for your old club colours or select the club that you think best embodies the values of PlainSailing.com (namely, being cutting-edge, professional, and a bit fun away from the water).

We’re expecting a close competition, and voting ends on Tuesday 20th March, with the winners to be announced here on Thursday 22nd March.

What do the winners get?

The winning Sailing Club will be our brand ambassadors on and off campus.  On top of that - and a lot more exciting - we’ll be putting them on a yacht to help us with a photo and video shoot over in the Mediterranean (so expect to see more of them over the coming months!) and we’ll be following their sailing escapades this season on this site!

Good luck to all the clubs involved!
