Get food delivered to your boat!

Wouldn’t life be easier if someone else sorted out your provisions for you, so you could concentrate on relaxing into your new boat? Well, now they do!

One of the big first-day chores of getting set for sail is making sure you have enough to eat and drink on-board.  It’s a tedious and often time-consuming task as you work out what you’ll be eating for the week, trekking to the local supermarket, trying to decipher the foreign language (“Excuse me, is this gluten free?”), dealing with foreign money, and then lugging it all back and stowing it.  Wouldn’t it be easier if someone else did it?

Get food delivered on-board

Food on BoardThat thought is exactly why there’s a growing market of companies who are willing to do your shopping for you and to deliver it directly to your boat - simply place an online order a few days in advance of your arrival and they’ll have your food and drink ready and prepped - meaning you can get on with exploring your new home.

Naturally there is a price involved (the goods you buy will be marginally more expensive than you can get at the supermarket yourself), and there is a delivery fee to be paid - though some waive this if you spend over, say, €100 – which is a reasonable amount given you’re talking about a full week’s worth of shopping, plus drinks, etc…

Food on BoardIf you can’t be bothered thinking about a menu, even, then Touch & Lunch also have a ‘set box’ which you can buy which will go a long way to sorting you out for the week.
