Cruising around Manchester...

If you’re a member of the UK’s Cruising Association, then hopefully you’ll be aware that PlainSailing.com offered up first prize in their annual prize draw competition earlier this year, with the CA collecting entrants at the numerous boat shows across the UK.  The winner has since been informed, and is excitedly delighted to be claiming a week of free sailing in Scotland, not to mention a free visit to both a top-notch spa and a world-famous whisky distillery (I’ll let you decide which one hits the right buttons for you!).

Our relationship with the CA – the UK’s biggest organisation for cruising sailors – continues this week, with one of our Directors giving a presentation to the Cruising Association in Manchester (as part of a wider UK tour with various sailing and yacht clubs).   

His presentation is called ‘Chartering a yacht abroad is PlainSailing.com’ which is based on our debut published book of the same title (find it on Amazon here)  which is about informing and empowering sailors in the UK to spread their wings and charter yachts in sunnier waters: put simply, it’s really not as difficult, or as expensive as you think.

Despite the Brexit and our currencies subsequent fall against the Euro, it’s brilliant to see a decent level of interest in grassroots sailing, and people embracing a sense of adventure.
